A CHOIR OF ECHOES

What happens when the body carries the distance between where we come from and where we are?

A Choir of Echoes is a choreographic ritual emerging from the encounter between contemporary dance and the ancient healing traditions of Southern Italy. Inspired by the phenomenon of Tarantism and its ecstatic dances, the work looks at the body as a place where displacement, longing, memory and transformation accumulate.

Two bodies move through states of tension, repetition and release, tracing the invisible weight of what has been left behind and what cannot be fully reached. Personal memories meet inherited gestures, while rhythm becomes a passage between isolation and connection.

The work evokes a ritual that no longer belongs to a single time or place: a space where individual experiences can resonate collectively, and where the body becomes both the site of a wound and a possible means of transformation.

A Choir of Echoes is an invitation to witness this passage — from fragmentation towards connection, from what is carried alone towards what can be shared.
